  	HOUSTON,TX - ADELE MARIE LEAKE, 79, a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother peacefully went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 10, 2006. Adele was born June 2, 1927 in Houston, Texas and attended Jeff Davis High School. She retired from Spring Branch I.S.D. Tax Office after 23 years of service. She married the love of her life, Pierce Ewing Leake, and together they shared 59 wonderful years. Adele enjoyed playing bridge and traveling with dear friends. Her most cherished moments were family gatherings with all her children. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and New Ground Bible Study Class. She was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Carpenter, father-in-law Charles Leake and brother-in-law Charles Leake Jr. Adele is survived by her loving husband Pierce Leake, mother-in-law Sophia Leake, son Pierce Leake Jr. and wife Debby, daughters, Linda Curtis and husband Tony, Susan Black and husband Sonny, Sandra Malone and husband George and Nancy Pettit and husband Jeff, sister-in-law Gwen Leake, brother-in-law Sidney Leake and wife Margaret. Adele is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren who all truly adored their "MaMa". Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at 12:30 P.M. in the Chapel at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Carmichael officiating, burial will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
