    70 years after the crash, the wreckage is still at the bottom of the fjord. Divers explored the crash site and took these amazing pictures of the wreckage of the plane.

    Roger Albrigtsen, a norwegian author and war historian, wrote a book about the tragic incident at Narvik. With mine and Erika's family's permission, he has used information and pictures from this site in his work. The book title is "The last letter" and features a picture of Erika on its cover. Clicking on the first icon will display a larger copy of the cover pic. Clicking on the second icon will display a translation of Chapter 4 of the book which is the story of Erika.
